Sweet Reagan turns 1

I knew I was going to post this blog this week, but what better day than when she is recovering from surgery she had Monday to get Cochlear implants and starts the process on the journey to being a part of the hearing community!! As you may know both her and her brother Jake were born deaf!!

Their differences have honestly made our entire family more diverse. They have taught us that even with challenges you can over come. We have all started to learn sign language because of them, and even tho they will soon both be able to hear us, there are times they can't have their cochlear devices on and you need to be able to communicate!! Also in the future they may decide that they actually want to embrace what makes them different and fully join the deaf community. They wouldn't be the first and certainly not the last!! 

So today we think and pray for quick recovery from surgery and celebrate her taking a huge step in this journey!!
