Well I haven't done my workout yet, but as soon as the hubby gets back from buying some more beer, we are gonna do a quick workout TOGETHER!! Yay!! I love workout buddies!! Than we are gonna ruin the workout with a couple ice cold beers :) and making some red white and blue sugar cookies. Terrible I know but It's a holiday right!!!
Topic of the day: Describe 3 legitimate fears you have and explain how they became fears.
1. Snakes. This fear probably became a fear for me because we lived in the country during high school and during the spring and summer on my way home from school or work I would see at least one snake alive or dead on the road. Also the knowledge of the fact they can bite, and some can do some SERIOUS damage. Plus who likes slimy sneaky creatures just gross.
2. Tornadoes. I hate the sound of tornado sirens or seeing like funnel clouds they freak me out. I have a fear of them destroying things. Living in Nebraska there were tornadoes all the time, we had one take out a tree in our back yard, one took our the fence and barn where my sisters cow was, and my dad drove us right smack dab into the middle of one. Really freaking scary I seriously thought I was going to die.
3. Falling. Idk I feel like I'm pretty fearless and I will try just about anything. But I guess I am more scared of falling with nothing to catch me....more of the SMASHING into the ground part ya know lol. This one is probably just a built in one I think most people have it.

Kyra Month 3
Can't believe she is already gonna be 3 months in only 5 days!!! Gonna do this a couple days early while I am focused and remember.
Nicknames: Bug, Goofy girl, Monkey Butt, Cubbles.
Clothing Size: 3-6 months she had a growth spurt and suddenly nothing fit.
Personality: You are such a diva!! But I love it. You have learned that crying gets you what you want most the time. And you certainly have suckered your dad into it. Because you know all you have to do is cry and you get mom. But you are also such a sweety you are always smiling at everyone or pretending to be shy. Plus you love to cuddle with me and pull my hair and squeal your sweet little squeal that your dad loves so much.
Things I Could Do Without: Your screaming at dad all the time. You can be such a turd. At least on longer weekends things seem back to normal. And wanting to be carried and held 24/7 its hard to keep this house clean when your in my arms.
Item/Toy We Love The Most: The Baby-hawk. that makes you happy all the time :) and is easier for us to do stuff.
Item/Toy You Love The Most: The mirror on the floor. And the green cat that meows!
Things I’m Loving Most Right Now:All the new things you are doing: like that tooth that is about to come in, rolling over, tummy time, laugh squealing, playing games with me, and singing back to songs after I sing to you. Oh and when you smile at Grandma
Things You’re Loving Most Right Now: Pulling my hair and pulling me toward your face you seem to think that's Hilarious! And looking at that cute baby in any mirror you can see :) Even your reflection on the door.on Skype ;)

Kyra first 2 months.
A friend of mine does these little profiles of her son on Facebook and I think it is the cutest thing so I am going to do them on here for you all :)
Nicknames: Bug, Baby girl, Sweet-pea, Booga, Hunny.
Clothing Size: 0-3 months. She was born too big for any of her newborn clothes :(
Personality: The first month she pretty much slept through. She was a pretty calm little girl and just loved to be cuddled up. She slept in the bassinet in the room with us. Than in month two she moved into her crib in her room and has been doing great since. She wasn't a fan of tummy time at this time.
Things I could do without: Explosive poops every hour. Boy did we go through a lot of outfits. And you waking up ever 3 hours at night, that was so tiring.
Item/Toy WE love the most: Pacifier. Back than she used to take it and it was like magic.
Item/Toy YOU love the mos: Boppy lounger, and the turtle on your car seat.
Things I love most right now: Cuddling and loving on you. Watching your dad take care of you and when the two of you fall asleep on the couch together :)
Things you love most right now: Bath-time, or anytime that both mom and dad are talking and playing with you :)

BodyRock for summer!!!
Well for more reasons than one Dustin and I need to start getting our selves in shape!! We have a couple goals in mind: 1- weight-loss, 2-tone up (swimsuit bodies), 3- get fit!!(German ruck march he wants us to do in July walk 100 miles in 4 days.)
A friend of mine showed me this site that posts new workout videos daily for free, so we are going to do their 30 days of may workout series! And Dustin is going to do PT at work too. Plus eat healthy, have active weekends, and drink only juice water and milk!!
We will blog often about our progress, and of course about Kyra too!! Who is sleeping in my arms as I type, and enjoys all our walks on the weekends, like the zoo this weekend, that was built in a valley, carrying/pushing a baby up steep hills is fun!! She slept through most of it tho, still a little too young but we enjoyed it!
My max out in 50 seconds:
squats: 31
box pushups: 28
triceps dips: 23
abs: 47
weight: 165

Kyra Lee Johannes; A Birth Story
As you all know my little angel has finally arrived, well she arrived 3 weeks ago today!! It was a long wait to meet her and ended up going 5 days over due. But it all worked out as my mom was here to help out after the birth, and lord knows we needed it!
It was Saturday March 24th when it all started. We had gone downtown to show mom the Market, and enjoy the Easter Market that was set up for the weekend. It was a beautiful day and we were really enjoying the sunshine and festivities!!! After walking around for about 1-2 hours we decided to head back to the house to relax. About an hour after we got home and ate lunch is when all the fun began.
The contractions started out really light and were easy to ignore, as I tried to take a nap. They progressively got stronger but didn't seem to be getting anymore frequent but we were on a doctors note to go into the hospital and get checked every 2 days since I was over due. So we went in and they put me on the monitor and saw that I was having pretty strong contractions every 5 mins or so. But they said they weren't the real thing and that I needed to go home and wait. This was really frustrating because I knew they were real.
So we went home for like 4 more hours and they only got worse and worse until I wasn't even able to sit down through them. But as we were worried about going back too soon and getting sent home again we sat down to watch Puss and Boots in hopes of distracting me for a while. But that was hopeless as each contraction hurt worse and worse. So we decided we would go walk out to the benches in the park, and if that didn't either speed them up or make them stop we didn't know what would. As we walked they sped up to 3 mins between each one and Dustin was having to hold me up from falling with the pain. We finally made it back to the house and decided that was close enough and painful enough, we are going to the hospital.
When we got there the same nurse was on duty, and was happy to see that I was in more pain, she said these were the real thing now. Even tho they were the same. I kept having contractions for about an hour before they checked my progress. And we had only dilated 1cm. So Dustin and I went on walks around the hospital in hopes of making the progress quicken. We did this for a couple hours and had only made another cm of progress. So the nurse suggested the hot tub and see how I felt after. So we went and sat in the tub but I had been in labor for 15 hours with no pain meds by this point, and it hurt and there was just no more energy left in my body :( So after a few mins in the tub I finally gave in and got an epidural, I just couldn't handle it any longer.
The Epidural wasn't painful like I expected but maybe that is because I had gone through so much labor I didn't really care anymore. But it was scary because the lady had to put it in between contractions that were now coming hard and fast. But once it was in I finally was able to rest a little. And my contractions would still be doing their job of progressing labor. But my Epidural did start to wear off and OMG was the pain intense and it took them a while to get the problem fixed, and when they did my entire leg was dead the rest of the time.
But after laboring for hours with it, the nurse said that I was fully dilated finally and could start pushing. I pushed for a little while before she said to stop while she talked to the Dr. Turns our part of the cervix was coming out or something because her head was too big to fit through. So we were told that the best option for Kyra and I was to get the emergency C-section. I was so scared but knew it would be the best choice. After this I don't remember a lot.
Just a rush of doctors and nurses getting me changed, Dustin changed, papers signed, more drugs administered, iv going, it was non-stop until they tied me to the operating table. Than I started to freak out. I can honestly say that is the scariest thing I have ever done. I could hear, and feel (not the pain) the whole thing and they had already cut me open before they even had let Dustin in. But once he was there everything was okay!!! He talked me through it.
Than was the moment......that first cry and I knew I was in love. I started bawling. 21 hours of labor and the only tears shed were for the birth of this little girl who I hadn't even seen yet. I knew that I could never love someone as much as I did in that second!!!
Kyra Lee Johannes was born at 11:36 am Sunday March 25th, 2012 in Weisbaden, Germany. Weighting 10lbs 12 oz and was 21.2 inches long.
