Fun facts about me

31 things you probably didn't know about me. 

1. I am an overachiever. I love to have a full schedule and do really well in everything I do. Proof of this is in my school work I am always one of the first people to finish my homework.

2. I am super lazy, given the choice between exercising, cleaning, and sleeping, I would choose to take a nap any day.

3. I am a total animal lover; I want to adopt every sad alone dog or cat I find. I am also slightly obsessed with both Rabbits and Horses. Guess that is because I grew up around them.

4. I love love love to draw, paint, scrapbook, and do any craft I can. Just the resources out here are a little bit harder to find and more expensive, so I don't do it as much as I wish. As you probably all notice since that section on my blog has been lacking quite a bit. But I do have one lined up just gotta find the time to do it!!

5. I love to drink wine it is my poison of choice!! It is so freaking tasty and I am spoiled in we live in the Riesling area of Germany!!! Riesling is my favorite!!

 6. I am also very addicted to Dr Pepper. I am a non-believer of addictions but sometimes wonder cuz I will get cravings for it. I know its terrible for me but It tastes so good.

7. Christmas is my favorite Holiday. If you have been following along for a while you could probably tell as I did a whole 25 days of Christmas Series this last year. This coming year I get to spend it with my family for the first time in 5 years. Although sadly I will miss the Christmas Markets and Gluwien while I am there.

8. My male celeb crush is either Gerard Butler, or Skylar Astin. And my female celeb crush is either Mila Cunis or Zooey DeChannel.

9. Sniffling is one of my BIGGEST pet peeves, unless you are on a run with a cold and have no choice in the matter, just freaking find a tissue and blow your nose.

10. I have a closet full of scrapbook stuff and I am obsessed with the IDEA of scrapbooking. But I never sit down and do it like I want to because I am afraid once I start I will never put it down. I really need to since Kyra is already almost 1.5 and I haven't finished her first year book!!!

11. I hate trying on jeans, so I am down to only 2 pair that fits and doesn't have holes.

12. Family is very important to me and I would do just about anything to help them out.

13. I have a very bad sense of  what looks good, so I have a hard time trying to decorate my house, or put together nice outfits.

 14. I love to blog. I don't know if my blog is very interesting or what people like to read about, but it is such a good way to express myself and I have a lot of wonderful people who follow and read my blog every time I post.

 15. I actually like watching a lot of Kyra's shows, and have been known to sit and watch them even when she is asleep.

16. I am bit OCD in that I have to write down everything into lists and have on going lists for chores, schedules, meals, and even what blogs I wanna write about.

 17. I find cooking very relaxing, specially when I am not rushed, and get to try new recipes. I think trying new stuff is just too much fun.

18. I LOVE German Festivals and Markets, even tho each pretty much has the same thing, there is NEVER a shortage of amazing food and drinks. So I just love going and enjoying the food and people watching.

19. Since graduating from high school, I have lived in 6 different places. Haha that is a lot considering it has only been 6 years haha.

20. I am shy. I don't like to make calls to people I don't know, and like to have Dustin do that talking with people I don't know well. I think this can come off as stuck up, but really I just am a big baby. Haha. I dunno why I have regressed back to it so much more. In College I was so different, tho alcohol makes me less shy so that could be it since I think I was drunk most of college hence why it only lasted a year. 

22. I despise folding clothes, and washing dishes. All other chores are bareable. But those two are always the last things done.

23. Traveling is the spice of my life. I am so thrilled by all the places I can say I have been, and I have a whole list of places we plan to hit still before we move back to the states.

24. I absolutly love to do my hair and makeup and try out new styles!

25. My life wouldn't be the same with out music! I love country music mostly and it just reminds me so much of being home and of my family.

 26. I love to exercise even if its not the first thing I choose to do. I do it because I love the way I feel afterwards at least on time when I don't over do it!!

27. I often think when people ask what your hobby is I should answer Dancing. Because anytime I hear a good beat I just wanna get up and dance. My daughter has gained this trait from me.

28. I am also an avid reader too, well when I have the time, that isn't taken up by school work.

29. I have 3 little tattoos. One is a rose in a secret place haha, that is for my family. One is the stars on my shoulder, the only one that was just because I liked it. And the 3rd is the Celtic heart on my arm which stands for wearing my heart on my sleeve.

30. I have a hotheaded temper. When things make me mad I don't know how to just calm down and get over it, I tend to blow my fuse when people piss me off.

31. If we were to get pregnant today I would want it to be twins. A boy and a girl!

Project 52: Laughter

     This is the topic for this weekend coming up and I thought what is better fitting than the fact that Kyra and I just spent a day at the park yesterday and I took some pictures of her playing and of course knowing her giggling her butt off!! I have been doing pretty good I think about making sure my pictures aren't all of her so it is only fair that a couple be since she is my life!!

The end of Christmas!

      I am sorry that the last few days of the 25 days of Christmas kinda fell apart. I just got really distracted by the fact Dustin was off work and we had a lot of great family time. We are still gonna be really lucky for the next week or two with him having very little work time. Kyra is sure loving having him home more often. Although sadly we will be having to say goodbye to him in February for a few months, including over both Kyra and I's birthdays :( Guess we better get our fill now while we can.

     But back to Christmas. Since I slacked on the last couple day I'll just do one big blog about the fun Christmas activities the day before and on Christmas!! It was a really awesome Christmas and having children really does make the holiday magic come back!!

       First thing we did was make cookies for Santa, lets just say don't try this with a 9 month old. That really just turned into a huge mess of flour EVERYWHERE! But I think she had fun playing in the mess anyways, that is until she started rubbing her eyes! Needless to say we ended up doing the rest letting her play on the ground. The cookies don't look the greatest as we were rushing to get them done and get her into a bath before she spread the flour all over the entire house.

       We let them all cool over night so we could worry about frosting them the next day during a nap time for baby Kyra! And it worked out great. Again we are far from professionals and a lot of our cookies look like 3 year old's frosted them. But here are a few of my favorites :)

     Then they were ready to put out for Santa to eat :) Here is Kyra putting them out...or well trying to eat them.

    
       Christmas morning came with a lot of excitement from us more than anything, after doing a bit of cuddling in bed just the three of us talking and playing we got up to see what Santa had brought. I set her down and the first thing she saw was the tie dye bear from her uncle Shane. She went straight for it and started loving on it! I knew she would love it! Than it was on to all the other toys, here are some pictures of her opening them up.

     After spending all morning playing with all the new toys, it was time to start cooking dinner so we would be ready to eat when the neighbors came up! Dustin made the turkey and totally rocked it, he got creative and it was probably the juiciest turkey EVER!!! I am so excited for him to make it again sometime! And I made mashed potatoes in the crock-pot that turned out Amazing far better than the batch I made for thanksgiving! There was a few other sides and of course pie. It was over all a great dinner and the company of GREAT friends just made it that much better. I must say this was the best Christmas in 3 years. Having a baby makes Christmas way more magical!

Snow all around

   



        This couldn't have worked out any better. I made the list of what I was doing each day over a week ago. And the timing of our first snow storm came the day before my blog about our top 5 things to do in the snow!!! It got me even more inspired!! Plus this was Dustin and I's first snow in over 3 years since we lived in Hawaii. I think he saw some snow in Iraq but nothing too much to account for. And this was Kyra's first ever snow...So of course I woke him up early when it was still coming down and drug him out into it with her and I :)

       So as I stated above I am gonna talk about our 5 favorite things to do in the snow!!!!!

1. Snow angels.

My roommate and I woke up middle of the night first snow in college and did snow angels!!!

        Who doesn't just get the sudden urge to roll around in the fluffy white stuff? It just looks like a big comfy bed. And of course this may only last a few mins as we find out it wasn't a great idea now that our cheeks are frozen solid.


2. Snowmen

Kyra seemed confused by this large white thing beside her!! They kinda match tho!

My snowman obsession continues to shine through!!! This is always so much fun to do, there were kids all around our neighborhood up early this morning making these great sculptures in front of their homes!!! Hey it makes the snow last longer too, Try to melt that silly high 30's weather gonna take you a while!!!

3. Snowball Fights

This is always fun and brings out the kid in even the oldest people...It is like the ultimate game of dodge ball, and no one ever feels guilty about hitting someone else with a snow ball. It is genuinely the most violent game you can get away with smashing something in someones face and laughing. And no one gets offended...It's just snow!!

4. Sledding

I can't wait til we find a sled and are able to take Kyra sledding even if it is on flat surface and we are just pulling her she will be super excited I am sure!! But I love the kind where you are flying down a hill hoping you aren't about to hit a tree kind of sledding lol. Its like a winter roller coaster ride!!

and finally 5. Snowboarding/skiing

I have no picture for this because the last time I was on ski's I was probably like 14 and I loved it but never have anyone to go with everyone else snowboards. So Dustin is going to teach me to snowboard sometime while we live here in Germany should be a very interesting experience!!!

Are you ready?

          Is it just me or did November just fly by in a blink of an eye? I can't believe today is the last day of it already seems like it was just last week We were handing out candy on Halloween!! And here we are finishing another month.

          Although I am sad to see another month fly by I am super excited, as you should be too. This month is my favorite and I love all things Christmas!!!  So to celebrate this year I am gonna do a big blogging event. 25 days of Christmas Fun!! I will be posting a craft, a recipe, or simply something about the holiday season that I love!!!

          And to encourage return visits to my blog this coming year I will also be giving away a few things through out the count down. And will also be able to offer some of the crafts for purchase if anyone thinks they would like one.

          I hope it will be as much fun for you as It certainly will be for myself!!! So stay tuned and check back everyday for all the fun to come!!!
