New 52 weeks Challenge for 2015

So if you have been around for a long time reading my blog you would remember not this past year but the year before the 52 week challenge I did. Although I didn't manage to get the pictures out the same day each week and actually ended up posting out of order, to include about 5-8 of them in a row at the end of the year just to finish them!! But this year my little sister is going to be joining in also. She will probably share her pictures on the links I share on Facebook of my pictures, but maybe I will talk to her about having them to me once a week so they can be included with mine :D

So what makes these challenges more fun is having other people join in. I would LOVE to have more of you guys do the challenge with me. If you are interested in joining in let me know!! And we can find a way to include your pictures on my blog or Facebook too!! It is so cool to see what different images come out of each theme!!!

Creative 52: Week 6 Bubbles

Last week we were out playing with bubbles in the sunshine!! And I was taking pictures of Kyra playing and Dustin blowing them, than when I got up stairs I got really excited to see how cool they had turned out!!

Creative 52: Week 5 Dance with me

Nothing show the love of a father daughter relationship more than dancing does. I love to see little girls dance with their dads. And brides at their weddings!!

Creative 52: Week 4 Cowgirl up

Nothing describes my Daughter more than Cowgirl. She loves horses and anything to do with horses!! So this week I decided it was time for a picture of her riding a horse, even if it is fake. Maybe later this year we will get a chance to take her on another real one and catch it in action!!

This was my first attempt at backdrop/filling in the background and think it turned out fairly well! I am also so grateful in this gloomy Germany winter that Kyra is getting more used to the flash so I can have some attempt at a catch light in her eyes.

Creative 52: Week 3

This is my first attempt at a composition using a photo editing software. Its not something super cool and detailed it is just an idea I had.

We had to stop on the free way to get this picture because snow has been so super scarce here in Germany this winter. I don't think that we will really be getting any :(

Creative 52: Week 2

This week I wanted to try to show shadows in a different way but also use my family in it, and what better way than silhouettes on a fort. Kyra loves forts and was super excited about the massive fort daddy built her. That is until she slipped and hit her face on one of the chairs lol!

Creative 52: Week 1

So I did so good finishing my project 52 last year, I wanted to do another one this year. This year I am not going to do specific themes, but a creative shot a week.

I was going to do a 365 day project but with today being the 6th and I have only done 2 days it is clear that my schedule is just way too busy to be doing a picture each day if I want to do great pictures. That being said one of the pictures I took so far is exactly what I mean by creatives.

So to start this year off on a small scale we did a picture that fits in the palm of your hand!!

I have also made a dent on the 24 photo-shoots I plan on doing this year!! 1 done 23 to go!! I will be sharing a few pictures from the shoot in the next day or so!!

Project 52: Glamour

So I had this great idea for this theme, but never got around to doing it and in this final ditch effort to finish my goal for 2013 before we start 2014 I had to take a new attempt at the theme. So thinking of what glamour means, you generally think of makeup. So I got a ton of makeup for Christmas, and so what better thing to take a picture of for this theme, specifically since I haven't done too many still life pictures for this challenge.

Project 52: Fragile

What is more precious and fragile than a new born baby!! Okay she is a couple weeks old now, but I'm sure most of you remember my first maternity session that I posted about a few months back? Well very excitedly finally took my first pictures of the darling outside of mommy now :)

Project 52: childhood

Oh I'm sure we all fondly look back at our childhood and think of the things we wish we knew than what we know now. I am sure we would all live much fuller lives and complain a lot less knowing we had no worries and stress!! I watch Kyra everyday and see her grow and learn and just enjoy the little things in life and marvel at how sweet these times are!!! This is Kyra bowling, not her first time but first time with daddy in tow!!

Project 52: New

So I lied about being up early enough to catch a sunrise. So since the sunrise is the start to a new day, it fits the topic for this week. This was Christmas Eve and the sunrise was marvelous!!

Project 52: Old

I know you have all seen this picture before a sane sample of my editing styles, but this is also going to be my picture of something old! I only have a couple topics to do and less and less days plus I have more Christmas Market Blogs I want to get shared!!  I am way to excited to write and post my blog about resolutions for 2014. But really need to finish my resolutions from 2013 first...and I know I can do it!! I have a huge list this year in how I want to make my year as productive as possible!!

Project 52: Lips

I was gonna go the normal route with this topic and take a picture of my lips, or someones lips with bright red lipstick...But I decided to get up close and personal with Kyra's Lips!! Haha she is too funny sometimes, and her new habit of sticking her tongue out when she is focused is too stinking cute!!

Project 52: Kitchen

So we may not be completely in the kitchen in this picture, but I thought it was so cute how much effort she was putting into frosting her cookie just like a little chef!!

Project 52: Music

I knew I wanted to do a performer of some sort for this theme. As it shows the best examples of music. I just had to decide which performer would be most ideal!! I did take a picture of a Santa playing an accordion. But the image wasn't as good as I wanted it to be.

Than I really liked this Marrionette. So I took her picture instead :D It didn't turn out super awesome because of the obvious it was night time and I am coming to find that my night pictures do not rock!

Project 52: Motion

I really need to take lessons and do more research on the trick to capturing motion without over exposing your photos, but I am sure with practice by this time next year you guys will be seeing some really cool pictures with motion being shown with expertise. I am even taking a photography class from my school this coming semester so I expect to see an impact on my skills dramatically!

Project 52: Night

So for those of you who are friend with me on facebook you saw this picture posted there and on my photography page a week or so ago. But as a final push effort to finish this project before taking on another one I decided to use this picture as my night theme. I had originally hoped to take a picture of the big fluffy snow flakes falling at night under the street lights as it is one of my favorite things. But since the weather has chosen to remain in Fall for the time being and there is only 11 days left this year, I decided I shall use this picture for my Night theme.

This picture made me go back and look at my fog attempt previously done this year. And its amazing how far my photography has come. That and its fascinating how getting down at the level of the image you want vs being lazy makes a much better photograph!

Project 52: Defeat

For the longest time I was wonderin what in the world I was going to be able to use for this topic. But when we got to this castle and saw its beauty there was no question of what I was gonna do any longer.  This castle has been standing for a very long time. It is just ruins now but once was a beautiful and dignified fortress. Clearly the rulers of this castle were at some point defeated.

Project 52: Bokeh

So I am very aware that this picture certainly could use some help and I may attempt to do this picture in different ways later on, and if I do I will be sure to post them so you can see my progress. But as a first attempt at Christmas Tree Bokeh I think this turned out relatively well. I would like to try next time to take a picture of just the tree all bokeh'd out or with something in the foreground but the tree less identifiable.

Project 52: City Lights

So this whole 52 week project was for learning! And I have sure been learning, and doing night time pictures with the Christmas markets makes me really realize I need to figure out how to shoot at night. And I need to buy a Tripod!
