Fall Fun Series!!!

Hey everyone just swinging by to say: IT'S FALL!! Yup tomorrow it's September and although the first official day of fall isn't until the 21st, I always count the whole month of September in the Fall months!!

And although Christmas is my favorite holiday, Fall is my favorite season!!! Last year I did the 25 days of Christmas Series and got great reviews and everyone loved it!! So this year I thought instead of trying to think up 25 new things for Christmas time, I would celebrate fall!!!

So in the next 3 months be prepared to see (almost) ALL THINGS FALL!! I am so excited to share my love of fall with you and my dear Kyra this year!! So be sure to stick around, because starting tomorrow the fun begins.

Side note: Kyra slept through the night, I think we may have survived the Jet Lag finally!!!

Critique me (My portfolio so far)

So this Photo Shoot was my 3rd shoot I have ever done. I never claim to be professional and would never charge someone to take their pictures!! I love doing it as I find it fun!  I think I am learning slowly but surely!! I really could use a new camera and photoshop I am sure that would help with my end products. There are so many folks in the military community who do photography, so I would never be able to get a gig here, but I learn from them and use what I learn on people I am close to in my life!!

As a preview of previous pictures I have taken here is my Best Friend on the beach, we took these for fun!

Than last year I offered to take pictures of my neighbors daughter you may all recognize as Kyra's best friend :D She was just turning 1 when I took these pictures, and now its almost her 2nd Birthday, time goes too fast!!

And finally the rest of the pictures from my senior session that I did with my Nephew!! He was very willing to work with me. So its not much of a portfolio, but I really enjoy working with people I love!!!

Project 52: Mother

This was the last photo for the project that I got on my trip. I can't say I personally know this mother daughter combo. I was invited through my sister to go to a birthday party at one of her "seeing hands"(sorry if I got that wrong) friends. My sister and all of these mothers are such amazingly strong women and so are their husbands. I can not imagine living with such a difficult thing to surpass. I believe 100 percent that all of these kids will grow up to be as normal as any other child and will have no disadvantage in the long run, but as a child having to learn that your world is a little different than others has to be challenging and confusing.
But while sitting on the sidelines, taking pictures and just soaking up these wonderful people, I took this picture of mother daughter. It was just too precious!! I don't know their names, and may never see them again but they inspired me for this topic!!

Project 52: Silhouette

So my daughter has established such an amazing personality and has likes and dislikes now. One of her favorite like is horses!! So when I was taking pictures of her in a barn during our outing to a history museum that had farms from the 1880-1900's I saw the lighting and automatically thought of this topic. I have to say its not as clear as possible because face it having a 17 month old little girl pose for a picture is irrational. But a picture of my little cowgirl in a barn silhouetted by the beautiful sunny day is just a great picture regardless.

Project 52: eyes

This theme was something I had thought about for a while. I had lots of little ideas but nothing had quite seemed perfect yet. Than I was staying at my in laws and spending lots of time with my beautiful niece and listening to her brag about how beautiful Kyra's blue eyes are. And well it made me sad because I can see the beauty in her brown green eyes!! She has stunning eyes that can just draw you in. Funny shaped and all (inside joke). So I asked her if I could just take a picture of her eyes!! And don't you just agree? I mean the color is just so incredible! Gosh she is a beautiful girl!!

17 months!

Nicknames: Kyra Bug, Bug, Bunny, Fluffy Butt, Butterfly, princess

Clothing Size:  18 months and some 24 months

Personality:  Haha if you didn't have one before you certainly do now. You do things just to see what our reaction will be. You laugh when you do something you think is funny and watch our faces to see if you should be sad. I think you learn new things everyday and are just amazing me with your brilliance!

Things I Could Do Without:  Well again its going to be Jet Lag. Its been a year and I had forgotten the pain of getting a child back on a sleep routine that is opposite of the one they were living the past month.

Item/Toy We Love The Most: My camera. With everything cute you are doing and now our family really getting to know you I just wanna be recording all day!!

Item/Toy You Love The Most:  Horses and books. You are constantly bringing me both. You make all your horses kiss each other its so cute.

Things I’m Loving Most Right Now: Watching you learn. You are repeating words and signing animals. You sing songs back to me. And watching you run around playing with Shade again. I sure did miss those giggles and watching you two play a match made in heaven!

Things You’re Loving Most Right Now:  Being able to run. You are like a little turbo. You love being home and keeping me up at night but the darn cute things you do when its the middle of the night make it worth it. Like carrying the baby doll around and patting her back when it cries. HEART MELTED!

Project 52: Black and White

My guess is since most of my followers are also Facebook friends, most of you saw me post this picture yesterday for my nephew, but this is my picture for the Black and White subject. I was given the oppurtunity to take my  nephew's senior pictures while back home this past month.

I know that I am far from a professional, but I believe that my pictures at least show some artistic flare. I have always wanted to take/have pictures of me taken on railroad tracks. It proved more difficult than I had expected to find a piece of railroad that wasn't occupied but the searching and driving the countryside was totally worth it for the pictures! If the random truck without its driver hadn't been parked near by I think we could have even taken some pictures on the car parked in the left of this picture!

Project 52: Patriotic

Hey everyone, I am back, yes I realize that in the last month I was very absent. Thanks to your support that hasn't effected my stats cuz my views are still going up!!! So thanks for sticking around even when I am only around sparingly.

We are going through yet another bout of jet lag so if this and the next week or so of blogs seem a little strung out and confusing I apologize as my time is all messed up right now.

But while I was stateside for the last month I did have a chance to get a few of my picture challenge pictures done!! And I am really excited to share them with you!! But with needing to edit them, and also a huge batch of senior pictures I took of my nephew (my first time doing something so official). So I have a lot of work to get caught up on. Also have plans to start working on the scrapbook for Kyra's first year and a half now, and hopefully get sometime for painting!

But as promised here is the first of a few project 52 updates coming this week. Than we will be on to a really fun fall blog series I am hoping to start in September!! Along with getting back on the working out train!!

The theme for this picture is Patriotic. I couldn't think of a more deserving person than my grandfather. He has this flag hung up every day, it is beautiful with all my grandmothers flowers. It even had a spotlight in Dustin and I's wedding!!

I love everything about this picture the colors are so vivid. Sadly I unknowingly had a smudge on my lens, that you may be able to notice :( But regardless I feel this picture does the Patriotic theme justice!!
